I ordered 4 different bags of Saka to test and this was the first one I opened. I’m just now at the end of the bag so I have a pretty good view on this coffee. I absolutely love it! And still have 3 bags to test. But this one specifically is interesting because there is absolutely no bitterness to it. The first thing putting me off with any coffee is bitterness but at the same time I like my coffee to taste like real coffee, not a fan of specialty coffee (although my husband is). I can drink Gran Bar as an americano as well as in a cappuccino. The crema is absolutely gorgeous too. I use a Cafelat Robot for my coffee and it comes out superb. Rich, aromatic taste, no bitterness, just pure bliss. Berry is also very nice and helpful. Even if I am the only person in the household drinking Saka coffee, I will repurchase.

Pulling shots on my lever machine seems to unlock an extra layer of sweetness and clarity—thick, velvety crema with balanced notes plus a smooth, lingering finish. It’s forgiving to dial in, but rewards careful pressure profiling with rich body and clean flavors. A fantastic blend for classic, satisfying espresso.

Full bodies, rounded coffee flavour. Bitter and creamy without that charred burnt taste, that you experience with a lot of Italian dark roasts.

I use these beans for my business and my customers all give it high praise 👏 and prefer them over my speciality roast.
