A passion project that originated from an idea that exceptional coffee should be accessible for everybody to enjoy.
The story began when the Hario V60 first entered the scene. Around that time specialty coffee shops appeared and used this small brewer to make delicious coffee. I immediatly got hooked! Not long after that I was gifted a Hario V60 to explore the world of pourover myself.
Whenever I traveled I took the opportunity to visit coffeeshops to learn about coffee culture, different roast styles, processing methods and roasters all over the world.
Why I started this business
Along this journey I've met like-minded people, we exchanged ideas, brewed coffees together and frequently bought coffee from all over the world. It became clear that the most exciting coffees had to be bought from outside of Europe. The coffeespace is rapidly evolving, ultra-light roasts, different processing methods, roasters in Asia that started roasting interesting greens long before they even arrive in Europe!
Coffee without borders
Buying from different roasters as an individual can be expensive. Shipping, duty's and taxes can add up and sometimes exceed the value of the actual coffee. Long time for arrival, custom clearance or lost packages the list goes on...don't you just hate that when that happens?
So I've launched Kultivar Coffee in 2025 to fix these painpoints. Since then, I’ve had the honour to feature talented roasters whose exceptional coffees I’ve shipped customers in Europe. Hope you stay for the ride!
